Refund Policy

I built this Substack to be worth every penny of your subscription. If something isn't working for you, I want to know about it.

Here's how refunds work.

Reach out to me first.

The best way to handle any billing issue is to contact me directly at [email protected]. I'm a real person and I'll look at it.

Within 7 days of payment - Substack handles it.

If you subscribed and want a refund within 7 days of payment, Substack will process it. Submit your request through Substack Support. This applies unless you've already claimed a subscriber perk or I've marked your subscription as non-refundable for a specific reason.

After 7 days - reach out to me directly.

Requests after the 7-day window are handled case by case. I'm not a faceless corporation. Email me at [email protected] and we'll figure it out.

If the publication goes dark.

I don't plan on going dormant, I publish consistently and I'm not going anywhere. But Substack's policy covers it: if I stop publishing for 6 months (annual subscribers) or 1 month from your payment date (monthly subscribers), you're entitled to a refund through Substack Support.

Duplicate charges or payment errors.

If you were charged twice or there's a processing error under the same account, contact Substack Support directly. That's fully refundable. If the charges came from different email addresses, email me at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

Subscribed through the iOS app?

If you paid through the Substack iOS app, your refund goes through Apple, not through Substack or through me. Follow Apple's refund process here.

Timing: Refunds can take up to 10 business days to appear on your bank or credit card statement depending on your bank.
