The Program

As a member of the Better Belly Premium Program, you have access to the Better Belly Course, Sick Building Solutions, the private community, and group coaching calls. As a bonus, Evan selects a few lab submissions on a first-come, first-serve basis to review during the group calls to help illustrate how to apply the course materials.

It’s important to note that members are expected to go through the courses in full. The program is structured to empower you with the education and tools to understand your protocol and the “why” behind it. The group calls and protocol sheets are designed to support that process - not replace it.

The Better Belly Premium Program, overall, is a guided group experience, not a substitute for direct clinical care.

Preparing For The Tests

  • Please see the items you need to avoid prior to urine sample collection:

Avoid the following foods for 48 hours prior to collecting your specimen
as they may interfere with the test outcome.

Important: Do not discontinue any medications or supplements without first consulting your healthcare practitioner. Wait 48 hours after completing a course of antibiotics before collection.

    > Apples, apple juice and products
    > Grapes, grape juice and products (including raisins)
    > Pears, pear juice and products
    > Cranberries, cranberry juice and products
    > Reishi Mushrooms or Echinacea
    > Arabinogalactan or Ribose Supplements

The OAT test kit will contain these instructions and more - please always refer to them for the most up-to-date instructions.

  •  For the GI MAP stool test, we recommend stopping any digestive enzymes, probiotics, and herbal 'killing' supplements such as olive leaf, oregano, berberine, etc. for 5 days. This is to make sure we don't get false negatives. However, this is just a recommendation and not a requirement.

Group Calls

The regular group calls where test results can be reviewed are done twice a month. Our team tries to schedule these two weeks in advance so people can prepare for it.

The protocol check-in calls are done every 2 months. This is dedicated to people who have completed their protocol and are looking for guidance on the next steps. Questions about protocols can also be brought up during this call.

Once a group call has been scheduled, an announcement is shown in the Community page and email notifications are also sent.

As a gentle reminder, Evan's review of test results and protocol creation are a bonus and are not an official part of the program.  To be fair to everyone who opts in to have their results reviewed, we select results to review based on a first-come, first-serve basis in relation to the intake form submissions. But ultimately, the test review is a way to apply the lessons from the courses, not a replacement for a consultation with a practitioner.

At this time, group calls are only for 2 hours and is scheduled on a Monday at 10 am Central.

1. Look Out For the Meetup Announcement

You will find this on the right hand side of the community page.

There will also be an email notification.

2. Fill Out An Intake Form

If you would like to have your results reviewed by Evan and a protocol created for you (live during the group call or on the backend), please fill out the intake form.

If you will be reviewing your own results with the guidance of the group calls and courses, there is no need for you to fill out the intake form.

More information below.

3. Review Group Call Guidelines

To ensure the group calls remain respectful and orderly, please review the guidelines below.

4. Join The Group Call

When you click on the Meetup announcement you will see the meetup details including the Zoom link. Alternatively, you can join via the link in the email notification.

If you prefer a live review, depending on the pace of the reviews during the call, your results may not be reviewed until the next scheduled group call.  Our team finalizes the list 4-5 days before the group call. If you prefer a live review and are not included in

Due to popular demand, we have started recording the group calls. Therefore, Evan will still review the results of people even if they are not present during the call.

If you would like to receive your protocol soon after your results come in (subject to Evan's availability), meaning you won't have to wait for your chance at a live review during the next group call,  you can opt in and choose backend review on the intake form.

Protocol Check-in Group Calls

If you have completed your protocol, you may sign up to be included in the next protocol check-in group call by sending our team a message using our contact form OR responding to the announcement for the protocol check-in.

Protocols are usually meant to last for 2-3 months unless discussed otherwise.

Guidelines For The Group Call

  • Be situated in an area with minimal to no noise and distractions. Be courteous and professional in your interactions with other participants.

  • Camera usage is not mandatory but helpful for active participation and engagement. However, microphones must always be muted when not speaking to minimize background noise.

  • Evan will go through each person's test results on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please wait for Evan to finish his review, recommendations, and answering the person's questions before asking your own questions in relation to the test results reviewed and recommendations given. Please raise your hand before speaking and unmuting your microphone.

  • Anyone in violation of these during the call may be removed from the meeting and/or have their subscription/access revoked.
